In 2018, TLP member Joan Effertz participated in the Bridges Not Walls cultural art exchange. Tiger Lily Press, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, was represented by Joan, where she printed at Taller de Experimental de Gráfica de la Habana.
“Everything about being in Havana — the people, their clothes and music, the light, food and architecture — influenced my palette. I started using bright primary and secondary colors directly from the ink cans.”
Her prints will be on display at Pendleton Street Photography, opening August 30, 5 to 8pm.
